Inkscape Easy Flower Tutorial

This is a very easy flower tutorial perfect for beginners. It will only take a few minutes.  I will try to explain every step in detail to make it super easy for you to understand.Step 1.

Create a star using the “Create stars and polygons” tool. The one circled red in the picture.

Step 2:

Click on path. Convert object to path.

Step 3:

Click on the “edit paths by nodes” tool.

Step 4:

Click on your star with this tool. These nodes will appear. Click on the nodes like you see in the picture. The node that is red is the node I clicked.

Step 5:

After clicking on the node, make the selected nodes smooth by clicking on the icon below.

It will produce a result like this.

Step 6:

Apply the same method to all the 5 pointed nodes of the star. This is how it will look. If you want, you can leave till here. Or continue with step 7.

Step 7:

I went further and duplicated the flower.

Step 8:

Place the copy over the original flower and rotate it to. Fill the gaps between the petals of the original flower.

Step 9:

Select both the objects and group them.

Now play with your colors as much as you want.

I hope this tutorial was beneficial to you and you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. If you want to see my work check out my PORTFOLIO.  Thank you for your visit!
