Inkscape Easy Flower Tutorial

This is a very easy flower tutorial perfect for beginners. It will only take a few minutes.  I will try to explain every step in detail to make it super easy for you to understand.Step 1.

Create a star using the “Create stars and polygons” tool. The one circled red in the picture.

Step 2:

Click on path. Convert object to path.

Step 3:

Click on the “edit paths by nodes” tool.

Step 4:

Click on your star with this tool. These nodes will appear. Click on the nodes like you see in the picture. The node that is red is the node I clicked.

Step 5:

After clicking on the node, make the selected nodes smooth by clicking on the icon below.

It will produce a result like this.

Step 6:

Apply the same method to all the 5 pointed nodes of the star. This is how it will look. If you want, you can leave till here. Or continue with step 7.

Step 7:

I went further and duplicated the flower.

Step 8:

Place the copy over the original flower and rotate it to. Fill the gaps between the petals of the original flower.

Select both the objects and group them.

Now play with your colors as much as you want.
