Baked Potato with Creamy Garlic Sauce

Baked potato is one of the easiest dishes to cook. It is perfect for a simple lunch or dinner. Or you could just have it as a side dish, specially with steak. The procedure is lengthy but way easier than rice or potato chips.

I once saw a recipe of  creamy sauce, however it required three different types of cheese. My lazy self didn’t want to go grocery shopping so I decided to make my own with the ingredients in my fridge. I can guarantee it’s delicious.


  • 2 potatoes.
  • some oil.
  • salt to taste
  • 1 Chicken frank.


  • 1/2 tablespoon butter.
  • 1/2 tablespoon fresh cream.
  • 1 tablespoon yogurt.
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise.
  • 1 clove of garlic  chopped.
  • salt to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vinegar.
  • 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce.
  • salt to taste.

Pre-heat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius before you start.

Wash and clean your potatoes thoroughly. Prick the potatoes with the fork 2 to 3 times.

With the help of a tissue coat them with some cooking oil.

Sprinkle some salt, then place them in the oven. Bake for an hour. I baked them around 11:40 to 12:55. Or bake until  they are crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. You can insert in a fork to check.

Take a chicken frank. I used DOUX.

Cut into  very thin slices. This way they will turn out crispy.

Fry them in little oil until they become crispy.

In a bowl, add butter, cream, yogurt, mayonnaise, vinegar, soy sauce, salt, chopped garlic.

Melt the mixture in the microwave for 20 secs.

It will look like this. So creamy. If you feel the sauce is too thin, add some mayonnaise.

Take your baked potato out of the oven.

Cut the potato only half way through. Don’t cut it completely till the bottom, or else the filling will leak out.

Add the crispy chicken franks.

Top it with sauce.
